About the Author

Paul Hippolitus works with various groups on the subject of building stronger “employment empowerment” efforts for youth and adults with disabilities. He is the past Director of Employment and Disability Benefits at the World Institute on Disability (WID). Prior to that, he was the Director of the Disabled Students’ Program at the University of California at Berkeley. Before coming on board at UC Berkeley, Paul was a Disability Employment Advisor with the Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) U.S. Department of Labor, Washington, DC. And, earlier, he served as the Director of Programs for the U.S. President's Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities, Washington, DC.

His graduate degree is in school to work transition programs for students with disabilities. He is a both a person with a disability and a disabled veteran.
